Meet Our Director: Sherry Martin

A lifelong educator and community leader, Sherry Martin brings widespread experience and a deep dedication to early childhood education. Sherry grew up in Natchez, MS, and pursued her dream of working with children by earning her Associate's degree in Elementary Education from Copiah-Lincoln College and a Bachelor's from Alcorn State University. Sherry continued to advance her career, eventually earning a Master's and Specialist Degree in Guidance Education. Named Teacher of the Year in 2014, Sherry's passion for helping children achieve their best extends beyond the classroom through her active community involvement in teaching Vacation Bible School and leadership with the Girl Scouts of America. Her vision for Alpha Academy is to offer every child a supportive, engaging start to lifelong learning.
